Entry requirements for training

  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Valid 1st class Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Complete high school education with high school diploma. If the applicant for training does not hold a matriculation exam, he must pass a test that verifies that he has sufficient knowledge of mathematics, physics and the English language.

Course of training

You start CPL(H) integrated training with zero experience and entry begins with briefings and familiarization with helicopters.
Subsequently, the theoretical teaching is started, which is also linked with flight exercises.
You gradually gain flight experience, theoretical knowledge and complete theoretical tests, both with us and subsequently at ÚCL.
Once you have completed everything, there is a final skill test where the student must demonstrate their theoretical knowledge and ability to fly the helicopter. Upon successful completion of this exam, the student will receive a CPL(H) pilot license.

Practical part of the training

The flight training consists of 140 flying hours, which includes two type ratings for the Robinson R22 and Robinson R44 helicopters, as well as a night qualification NIGHT(H).
During training, even the smallest details of piloting technique, which make a professional a professional, are expanded and refined.
The content of the exercise includes both repeating basic piloting and navigation flights to controlled airports, extensive emergency procedures, instrument approaches and much more...

Theoretical part of the training

The vast majority of theoretical training takes place in a distance form online and partly face-to-face in the classroom.
The course includes 350 hours (about 50% of which is self-study) and is divided into 3 blocks that contain individual subjects.
At the end of each subject, the student is examined in the form of test questions and, in case of success, he is issued a certificate of completion of the given subject, which entitles him to participate in the theoretical examination at ÚCL. It is therefore not necessary to wait for the completion of the entire course. This is a great advantage that greatly speeds up the completion of final exams.

The course consists of the following subjects:

  • Aviation law and ATC procedures
  • General knowledge of the aircraft
  • Flight execution and planning
  • Human performance and limitations
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Operating Procedures
  • Basics of flight - helicopters
  • Communication

The final part of the training

After completing the above-mentioned parts of the training, it is continued to the final examination by an authorized examiner from ÚCL, during which you will have to demonstrate extensive theoretical knowledge and flawless helicopter piloting technique.
Based on this skill test, you will be issued a CPL(H) Commercial Helicopter Pilot License.

Training bonus

  • 5 flight hours on a certified simulator absolutely FREE. Students who went through this training on the simulator had significantly greater and faster progress in real flying and did not have to buy extra lessons.
  • Year-round access to the fitness center in HK, as we pay attention to mental and physical readiness, which will support the progress of the student during his training.
