Entry requirements for training

• Minimum age 17 years
• Valid PPL(H)
• Completed at least basic education
• Valid CPL(H) or ATPL(H) theoretical certificate - Course dates with us
• A valid 1st class medical fitness certificate and a general radiotelephone operator's license
• Have at least 155 hours flown in helicopters, including 50 hours as PIC, if possible exemptions are not included, before starting practical training.

Course of training

CPL(H) training begins with an entry briefing and familiarization with the helicopter.
Subsequently, flight exercises with a scope of 30 hours are accessed according to the established curriculum.
If the student does not yet hold a valid NIGHT qualification, the training must be extended by 5 flight hours of night flights.
The conclusion of the training is a skill test, during which the student must prove his theoretical knowledge and ability to pilot a helicopter.
Upon successful completion of this exam, the student will receive a CPL(H) pilot license.

Practical part of the training

Flight training starts almost immediately and includes 30 flight hours + 5 flight hours in case the student does not have a NIGHT(H).
During training, even the smallest details of piloting technique, which make a professional a professional, are expanded and refined.
The content of the exercise includes both repeating basic piloting and navigation flights to controlled airports, extensive emergency procedures,

Theoretical part of the training

It is not specified, as the theoretical part is already fulfilled before the practical training begins.
During the training, Briefings/Debriefings and possible supplementing of knowledge for the given flight exercises take place.

The final part of the training

After completing the above-mentioned parts of the training, it is continued to the final examination by an authorized examiner from ÚCL, during which you will have to demonstrate extensive theoretical knowledge and flawless helicopter piloting technique.
Based on this skill test, you will be issued a CPL(H) Commercial Helicopter Pilot License.
